From 2006-2008, Ariel was a staff photographer for The Stockton Record and 209Vibe, an online and print publication dedicated to local arts, entertainment and youth culture. Her work has appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle, The Wall Street Journal, Sacramento Magazine, Wired.com, HamburgerEyes and The FADER. Ariel is a proud member of the Asian American Journalists Association, the National Press Photographers Association, the American Society of Media Photographers and the San Francisco Bay Area Press Photographers Association.
She is available for freelance work throughout California and the United States.

Ariel Zambelich is a freelance photojournalist based in Northern California. A Los Angeles native, she graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in journalism. She attended the Eddie Adams Workshop in 2008 and earned a nomination for World Press Photo’s Joop Swart Masterclass in 2009.
